Focusing on soft colors, natural materials, and simplicity, Japandi interior style is a hybrid of Japanese and Nordic aesthetics, like a Japanese Zen garden and warm and comfortable Nordic living rolled into one. Japandi makes extensive use of wooden floors, simple spaces, and not too many clutter, perhaps just a simple sheepskin rug.

Japandi uses soft colors, bamboo or cedar textured walls, and geometric lines that echo the patterns of traditional Japanese shoji screens. There are also comfortable wool bedding, rattan headboards, and delicate origami-style chandeliers. Japandi's space is calm, laid-back, and simple, combining rustic warmth with functional minimalism, blending form and function, inspired by nature.
